International Women's Day is celebrated annually in March.
The Center for the Study of Global Gender Equity (CSGGE) formally known as Women and Gender in Global Perspectives Program (WGGP) and the Humanities Research Institute (HRI) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are co-hosting our ninth annual event, “12 Women Who Changed the World: Untold Stories” bringing together faculty, staff, students, and community members to recognize people who have made a difference in academia.
The event will feature 12 featured speakers from across our university and community. Each speaker will have 5 minutes to tell the story of a woman who made important contributions to the scholarship, discipline and/or broader academic community life.Mark your calendars for International Women's Day 2026 celebration at the University of Illinois- March 4, 2026.
