Cory Kniepp, BSGE ’05, is Vice President of Marketing for Nidec Automation, a global leader in ultra-low-voltage motion solutions that power mobile robotics in warehouse and factory environments. With more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and strategic leadership within the industrial automation industry, Cory is passionate about developing talent, driving business growth, and building customer partnerships that create lasting value.

Since joining Nidec, Cory has held a series of leadership positions across marketing and strategic planning, including Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing Operations for the company’s U.S. Motors business unit. Prior to Nidec, Cory spent 12 years with Emerson’s ASCO business unit, where he advanced from Inside Sales Engineer to Director of Sales, Americas for the Analytical and Medical segment, leading commercial teams and customer growth initiatives across the region.

A proud University of Illinois alumnus, Cory earned a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering in 2005 and later completed an MBA at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is also a longtime board member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) St. Louis Section and currently serves as Membership Chair.

Cory resides with his wife, two children, and two dogs in St. Louis, MO.
