NPRE GSAC Spring 2022 Town Hall

Abstract:

The NPRE Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) was officially formed in Spring 2021 and comprises three student-elected and two faculty-nominated NPRE graduate students. NPRE GSAC’s mission is to represent the ideas, thoughts, and beliefs of the diverse NPRE graduate student body. The GSAC provides a structured and efficient line of communication between NPRE graduate students, faculty, and staff on issues that have an impact on NPRE grad student life. The interests of the NPRE graduate student body are the driving force behind any action taken by GSAC in an endeavor to improve the NPRE graduate student experience and the NPRE department as a whole.

Each semester (Spring, Summer, and Fall) GSAC hosts a town hall to provide the NPRE department with a progress update on past, current, and future work the GSAC has been involved with. This is an opportunity for GSAC to connect with everyone in NPRE and openly discuss topics relevant to the department. GSAC hopes that these town halls provide guidance and clarity for students, faculty, and staff on GSAC’s involvement in NPRE. In addition to this, GSAC will give an overview of graduate student research by highlighting current NPRE graduate students’ research.

In preparation for next week’s seminar, we ask that you fill out this form if you have any questions or topics you’d like to see discussed during the presentation. This will help GSAC lead discussion to the most relevant topics possible. Alternatively, you can use the QR Code below:
