Do you realize how beautifully complex our brains are? For example, every second your brain is coordinating billions of bits of information to map a 3-D interpretation of the world. Although our brains are processing an infinite amount of data, we’re only aware of a tiny fraction of it at any given moment. Most importantly, we have a lot of influence over how our brains become wired over time to store and organize data from what we see, touch, smell, hear, and taste. The parts of our specific circuitry we don’t use, we lose.

This program invites you to attempt drawing exercises that improve your mind’s metabolism to convert data into an important resource: IMAGINATION. Join Spurlock staff in creating images that rely upon your ability to access preexisting data and weave it into extraordinary alternatives.

Spurlock Sundays are free, drop-in programs held on the second Sunday of the month from 1:00 pm–3:00 pm and are open to visitors of all ages. Spurlock Sunday activities can include crafts, games, performances, and hands-on experiences with cultural artifacts.
