    The Spurlock Book Club will be hosting a virtual discussion of Part 1 of the play Angels in America, "Millennium Approaches" on 11/30 at 7:30pm. One of the most honored plays of all time, Angels in America has won the Pulitzer Prize and numerous Tony Awards. It was recently revived on Broadway in 2018 to rave reviews.

Concert is free and open to the public. There will be seating available in our Central Core Gallery, or you may enjoy the music as you explore the Spurlock Museum Galleries.

    We invite you to join us in solidarity to celebrate the Spurlock Museum exhibit Sewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois, with a night of trivia designed to raise awareness, expand understanding, and spark joy and build community. Rounds will test your knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the history of AIDS activism, and we'll even delve into the confounding cures

    Exhibit coordinator Beth Watkins is offering a guided tour of the new exhibit Sewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois. Registration is required. To support Covid safety guidelines, attendance is limited to 15 people. Please register in advance.

    Wrap It Up in Stories, a free, family-friendly program focuses on two activities. First, participants will practice a variety of gift-wrapping styles, including furoshiki, a traditional Japanese method. Secondly, a Japanese/English bilingual storytelling session will be held.
