Water Resources Engineering and Science Seminars

Abstract:
This seminar will provide a high-level overview of how topics studied within the Water Resources Engineering and Science program are being applied to water security challenges facing the United States Army and within the context of Federal sustainability goals. The presentation will include discussion of 1) recent developments in Federal priorities related to water resilience, 2) real-world examples of how those priorities and strategies are shaped by research findings and the skills taught in the CEE program at UIUC, and 3) discussion of how researchers can get involved with water security in the Federal government, including research partnerships and grants, fellowships, and careers. This presentation will present the personal views of the speaker, and is not an official presentation by the US Department of Defense or US Army Engineer Research and Development Center.
