Publishing in Nature-branded journals can be a daunting task. This talk aims to convey a better understanding of what the Nature family editors look for when deciding which paper to publish, what the key editorial differences are between Nature, the Nature Research journals, Nature Communications, and other journals in the portfolio, and how to write a paper for a Nature journal. It will also touch upon how editors make decisions at every step of the editorial process and cover some of the benefits of open access and open science.
