Grainger Engineering: Special Events Calendar

At Grainger Engineering, we build tomorrow.

Join us for the next research initiatives webinar where Prof. Paul Braun will provide an overview of the current state-of-the-art batteries being used in electric vehicles and other transportation systems and then discuss what the future may bring, with an emphasis on how innovations in materials science and engineering are making possible these advances. Today's Li-ion batteries already enable cars to go over 300 miles on a single charge but are relatively heavy and costly, limiting their use. Future batteries that are lighter and less costly will enable electrification of many more modes of transportation including heavy trucks and potentially even airplanes and make electric vehicles even more attractive for the typical driver.

Prof. Braun is The Grainger Distinguished Chair in Engineering, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and the Director of the Materials Research Laboratory.

The webinar will be recorded and all registrants will receive an email with the link once it is available following the presentation. Register today!
