We are excited to bring to you the 16th edition of the CSL Student Conference virtually! From keynote talks to a job fair to a brand new COVID-19 session, mark your calendars from Feb 24 to Feb 26 for a range of stimulating virtual events. This year’s event will be highlighted by a plenary talk by Prof. Christopher Bishop from Microsoft Research on “THE REAL AI REVOLUTION” on Wednesday, Feb 24, 4-5 pm and a special COVID-19 session on Thursday, Feb 25, 2-5 pm covering a broad range of talks from leaders in the field of technology, economics, medicine, public policy, and AI. The conference will also host corporate events that include a workshop from VAIL Systems (Feb 24: 12-1 pm) and a virtual job fair attended by eight companies (Feb 24: 1:30-4 pm). The core conference features four technical sessions all to be held on Zoom:

• Optimization, Control, and Reinforcement Learning Keynote by Prof. Na Li of Harvard: Feb 24, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Wednesday)
• Networking and Decentralized Systems Keynote by Prof. Ari Juels of Cornell: Feb 25, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Thursday)
• Machine Learning and Signal Processing Keynote by Prof. Sameer Singh of UC-Irvine: Feb 26, 11:30 am -3:00 pm (Friday).
• Bioimaging and Computational Biology Keynote by Prof. Roarke Horstmeyer of Duke: Feb 26, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Friday)

For the special Covid-19 session, we have six distinguished speakers from academia, and industry to present their learning and opinions on diverse topics:

• Dr. Preeti Malani, MD, Chief Health Officer, UMichigan, "COVID Testing and Vaccine"
• Prof. Sanjay Patel, Professor, Entrepreneur, UIUC, "Contact Tracing and Technology for COVID-19"
• Dr. Ziad Obermeyer, MD, UC Berkeley Public Health, "COVID-19 Public Policy"
• Prof. Scott R Baker, Assos Professor, Kellogg School of Management, "COVID-19 Economics and Stock Market"
• Dr. Mona Flores, MD, Global Head of Medical AI, NVIDIA, "AI for COVID-19"
