The mid-13th century decline of Greater Cahokia marked a period of great change for the indigenous peoples living throughout southern Illinois and adjacent regions. In this lecture ISAS Curator Tamira Brennan will highlight recent archaeological research at 13th-15th century sites along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers and discusses how the social and material landscapes of the region changed as Cahokia waned.
