Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing with Metastable Yb Erasure Qubit
Abstract: In this talk, I will outline recent progress towards fault-tolerant quantum error correction with metastable erasure qubits. In particular, the dominant noise in this system can be detected and converted to erasures. I will show how we can take advantage of this noise channel for effective error correction.
