Our instructor is Weimo Zhu. Dr. Zhu is an internationally known scholar in physical activity and health research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Besides his academic accomplishments, Dr. Zhu has practiced and taught fitness and Chinese mind-body exercise, including tai chi and qi gong, for more than 25 years, and has been instrumental in introducing them in the United States and around the world.
Body/mind wellness (Tuesday, October 13 at 5:15 pm): Topics to include - understanding connection between the body and mind in wellbeing, role of breathing as a fundamental skill in body mind techniques, introduction to Qigong, a simple and effective body-mind exercise.
