Abstract: Companies typically have target financials and a defined set of product suites that they can control. The responsibility is then to deliver target financials through innovations to existing product suites and/or developing new ones. I will attempt to describe what a data driven decision making process would look like and motivate these concepts with concrete connections to Operations Research. I will describe how Machine Learning can be used to set up the building blocks of such a system. Examples will be drawn from my own/ my team's experience modeling various concepts at Uplift.
Bio: Srinidhi is a graduate of the Physics PhD program at Illinois and graduated in Fall 2018. He has worked at Uplift Inc, a financial technology company in their data and risk divisions over the past 2.5 years. He is currently the Chief Data Officer, and is responsible for defining how Uplift, Inc. collects and stores data at the organization, understanding its strategic value through modeling and analytical tasks and supplying this to various business teams.
