Black History, and a charge to think about the Black History Month centennial through an AF speculative lens. How do we protect Black history's giants from future erasure and utilize these key figures to frame an indelible Afrofuture? Presentation will include my recent projects: Speculative book covers published by Black historians who I am theorizing as Afrofuturists. Covers for STEAM-based short story book series, and a recent Black History-based Black curriculum book.
The presentation will include relevant prompts and will leave time for Q/A.
