What are LLMs (Large Language Models)?

This hands-on beginners’ workshop will introduce the participants to text generating AIs, such as Microsoft Copilot and Chat GPT.  We will explore their features and capabilities and apply them in higher education settings.  The discussion will include the many-sided privacy/security, legal and ethical considerations of AI use, with an eye towards its future place in higher education.  Official Illinois tools will be featured prominently.  Please bring your laptops.

* This workshop will be held in-person and on Zoom simultaneously.  A link to the Zoom format will be provided upon registration.
