Exhibit opening for Women of Valor: Creating Temple Sisterhoods in Central Illinois

Please join us for the opening of the Illinois History and Lincoln Collection's spring exhibit, Women of Valor: Creating Temple Sisterhoods in Central Illinois.

Jewish women in Central Illinois have been organizing for centuries. After uniting under the organizing arm of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods in 1920s, these women ushered in a century of community building and activism. The exhibit showcases the ways these women shaped their communities through materials from three different Central Illinois cities. Join us to view the exhibit and other selections from our collections.
