Curious about Chemistry at Illinois research and students? Join us to hear from four of our undergraduates as they share about their experience as researchers in Chemistry labs this past summer. This virtual event will feature short presentations and Q&A with each student researcher.
About the Speakers
Seungwook Kim is a senior undergraduate fellowship student at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign majoring in chemistry. He is researching microfluidic approaches for sensitive detection of viruses and associated circular RNA in the Hee-Sun Han lab. He is interested in studying pharmaceutical sciences related both chemical biology and organic chemistry in the future.
Aidan Lindsay is a rising Junior majoring in chemistry conducting research in Prof. Nick Jackson’s lab. He hopes to go to graduate school and earn a PhD in theoretical chemistry and then pursue a career in computational materials science.
Maria Massa is a rising junior in specialized chemistry at UIUC. She has been working in the Scott Silverman lab for about a year and a half and in her free time enjoys cooking, hiking, and kayaking.
Aidan Tijerina-Albury is a sophomore undergraduate student at UIUC majoring in Chemistry (Science and Letters). Aidan works under the direction of Dr. Dana Dlott and is doing research focused on hotspot formation in plastic-bonded explosives.
