Come listen to a bilingual story in Japanese and English!Bring your children to East Asian Story Time and enjoy a storybook telling of “Thanking the Moon” by Grace Lin. This story follows the meanings and symbols behind the Chinese Autumn Moon Festival (Tsukimi/月見 in Japan).

Co-sponsored by The Champaign Public Library and the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illinois.

The Center for East Asian and Pacific, in partnership with the Champaign Public Library, presents East Asian Story Time, a monthly family event series celebrating cultural and language diversity in our communities. Each bilingual storytime event will feature a story read in English and Chinese, Japanese, or Korean to spark children’s interest in East Asian languages and cultures. All are welcome!
