Workshop: “Unstuck: How to Uncover Your Process & Become the Writer You Already Are”
This workshop is for faculty and graduate students of any discipline at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Are you stuck in your writing but can’t figure out how to move forward? Do you spend hours on the same paragraph without making any progress? This day-long writing retreat teaches a simple technique for surfacing the thoughts and feelings that keep scholars from writing. During the retreat, you’ll learn:
- Why you get stuck in your writing
- How to follow your process and get unstuck even when time is tight
- The three things you need to make real progress in any writing session
By the end of the retreat, you’ll have made significant progress on your manuscript. And you’ll see how following your writing process makes your writing sessions more productive and more pleasurable.
Cosponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation and the College of Fine and Applied Arts.
