Call for Papers: ALFALito (September 29 - October 1, 2022) at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

The Asociación de Lingüística y Filología de la América Latina (ALFAL) is an academic community whose objective is to promote linguistic theory, applied linguistics, and philology in Latin America.
For ALFALito 2022, we invite to participate in Project 16 - “Linguistic questions in relation to the Latin American diaspora,” with this year’s theme being “Mobility of people and their linguistic practices: Sociolinguistic, grammatical, and language contact approaches” (organized by Salvatore Callesano, Víctor Fernández-Mallat, y Adriana Patiño).
In addition to the ALFALito 2022 academic meeting, one day will be dedicated to a professional development workshop for local (Champaign & Urbana) K-12 teachers about intercultural education and how to incorporate sociolinguistic knowledge into the classroom.
