The Madrigales are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical place called Encanto. Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique magical gift -- every child except Mirabel. However, she becomes the Madrigales’ last hope when the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger. Set in Colombia, the movie is an explicit attempt to counter narco-narratives more often used to narrate that country.
