Animals live in a multisensory world and use different sensory channels to communicate during crucial
behavioral contexts. I will discuss how an African cichlid fish uses visual, acoustic, chemosensory, and
mechanosensory communication during social interactions, and how these senses may be modulated by
an individual's reproductive and hormonal state.
