Residents are invited to participate in a free yoga class by Sri Sri Yoga every Sunday. Yoga offers numerous benefits for both the mind and body. It enhances flexibility, strength, and balance through various poses and stretches. Additionally, yoga promotes mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety, and improving focus and relaxation.

A free English Class for international students, scholars, and their spouses/partners on Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. This class focuses on vocabulary and is for intermediate and advanced students.

Bring your project and materials and learn some sewing tips as well as handicrafts! This activity is provided by the International Hospitality Committee. Please RSVP to Christina Myers if you plan to attend, ckmyers2@gmail.com.

Join us each month for Dinner & Dialogue! Each month will be a new topic and food selection. October’s topic will be learning about Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a Health Relationships workshop facilitated by the Women's Resources Center. Food will be served from Papa Johns Pizza along with the availability of a vegetarian option.

This weekly class offers an informal setting for international participants to practice and improve their English-speaking skills. Classes are free of charge; however, regular attendance is encouraged to maximize learning. This class is organized by the International Hospitality Committee.

The supplemental food program for women, infants, and children (WIC) is excited to be at Orchard Downs! They will be open on Thursdays from 8:30-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. at 2040-A Orchard Street. Don't hesitate to stop in for more information or to enroll during open hours.

Join us for Movie Night as we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day with a PG-13 film about two Native American men retrieving ashes and confronting family trauma. Stick around after the movie for a lively discussion led by student staff on its themes and cultural significance. Popcorn and cornbread will be served along with a fun and connected moviegoing experience!

Need small kitchen items? Visit the Lending Storeroom every Saturday from 9-11 a.m. on the streetside of 2044-A in Orchard Downs. Residents can borrow items they need for the duration of their stay at Family & Graduate Housing.
