Provost's Test

New and seasoned employees alike will learn something new about the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology on this half-hour tour, offered the first Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. Before you know it, you'll be navigating the building and discussing Beckman's research like a pro! Tours are led by Lexie Kesler, Beckman's outreach specialist.

The traditional lecture mode is the oldest and most widely used teaching method. However, when compared to other teaching methods, it is often not as effective in areas such as student retention of information and problem-solving. Join us as we will explore ways this enhanced lecture method can be more effective; e.g., in organization, delivery, and student engagement.

Register as an individual or an eight-person team for the Beckman Trivia Hour! We encourage you to combine forces with another lab or office to test your knowledge of all things Beckman and campus. Registration includes snacks and limited beer and wine selections.
