University of Illinois researchers developed radiation-hard detectors to study how this plasma forms and evolves, advancing the quest to recreate matter from the dawn of time.

A quantum network uses the smallest possible blips of light, called photons, to share information in a fundamentally different way, based on the concepts of quantum mechanics.
