She will discuss her book and what lead her to write Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot. Mikki Kendall is an activist, writer, and Illinois alumna.

Each speaker will have five minutes to tell the story of the woman in his or her discipline that changed the field in important ways.
