The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. We assist faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction. In addition to the events listed below, we are always available for individual consultations or special activities within a department or college. In this session, we’ll figure out how to choose assessments that not only measure whether students have learned but also help them learn in the first place. We’ll also discover that assessments can go way beyond the traditional exam, quiz, or term paper.

You can protect yourself from scrutiny, convey expectations, and set boundaries, all at the start of the semester. Make the most of your syllabus by attending this workshop, where we'll analyze examples, talk about the must-haves, and consider best practices.
