Come learn about a country from a human book! 'Read' or hear about the different countries represented in our community from its residents and sample international delights and cuisine. Each station will feature a specific country where you can interact with the "book" (i.e., a person).

The aim of this interactive workshop is to share over two decades of community-engaged research, and the lessons learnt from the process of supporting and mobilizing communities, and producing different knowledge deliverables (including art-based ones, such as animated films or comics) for a range of publics.

Join us for the 33rd Annual Mortenson Distinguished Lecture with Dr. Ricardo L. Punzalan. His lecture on “Reciprocity, Reparative Actions, and Decolonial Work” explores the case of “decolonizing” U.S. Philippine materials to transform our digital work to enact reparative actions that connect collections with communities that have been long separated by colonization.
