    The Department of Economics conducts an Economics Research Symposium every spring. They are a valuable experience for Economics students who want to present research they have been working on during the academic year.

    The Undergraduate Research Symposium, part of Undergraduate Research Week at the University of Illinois, will host over 1,000 student presentations. Featuring oral, poster, and creative works, the event highlights diverse disciplines, student innovation, and the university’s commitment to expanding undergraduate research opportunities.

    This is the fifth consecutive year in which the Honors Symposium at Parkland College partners with the Office of Undergraduate Research. Students from across Parkland will present their graduating honors projects, and Psi Beta students in Psychology and Ethnography of the University students in Anthropology will also present on their research from that academic year.

    The Undergraduate Research Experiences in Statistics program (URES) students will present their projects (around 15 minutes for each project). These presentations are the culmination of a semester-long (or a year-long) process during which students work with a faculty mentor to work on a research project. This year's cohort includes approximately 23 undergraduate students.
