Was your last statistics course years ago? Do models that describe and predict patterns of risk seem too abstract or technical? This workshop on Feb. 8 & 9 provides conceptual insights and essential technical skills to help public health, mosquito, and vector control personnel engage in practical aspects their work.
The event includes morning research presentations and graduate student awards. Lunch and a poster session will follow the morning's program of speakers. On Sunday, October 7, 2018, more than 300 veterinary students will host the annual College of Veterinary Medicine Open House. There will be more than 40 exhibits and demos, and lots of animals to see. This event is free and open to the public.
The Hackathon will bring a diverse group of disciplines and interests together to seek novel solutions to feline house soiling, one of the largest behavioral issues facing cat households and the primary reason for feline relinquishment to shelters.
The University of Illinois Shelter Medicine Program will sterilize, vaccinate, and microchip feral cats from east central Illinois. The goal is to reduce the overpopulation of cats and improve the health of these unowned animals.
