    NCSA is hosting a Machine Learning and Big Data workshop presented by the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. This workshop will focus on big data analytics and machine learning with Spark, and deep learning using Tensorflow. This is an IN PERSON event, there WILL NOT be a virtual option for this event.

    This beginner-friendly course introduces programming concepts using Python. No prior experience is needed. Learners will use Jupyter Notebooks via Texas A&M University's ACES cluster's Open OnDemand portal. It builds a foundation for later ACES courses focused on data science and AI in Python.

    Learn how to efficiently transfer research data between devices and HPC systems. This training covers key questions to choose the right method, introduces essential command-line tools, file compression, integrity checks, and explains how storage systems affect performance.

    This course introduces the ACES composable cluster via a live login session. Participants will explore hardware and composability on ACES and FASTER, gain cluster access, learn general computing and HPRC policies, manage software, submit jobs, and use installed tools for data and job management.

    Learn to launch AI projects on the ACES cluster at Texas A&M. Sessions cover creating virtual environments, data handling with Pandas and Matplotlib, linear regression and classification using Scikit-learn, and building deep neural networks for image classification with PyTorch.

    NCSA is offering a 2-hour workshop for campus researchers to introduce the Illinois Campus Cluster (ICC) and teach how to perform basic tasks in its cluster environment. There are no prerequisites for this workshop. A user account on the ICC will be provided for the hands-on exercises. Register by Sept 25, 2025.
