Joaquín Rodríguez-López will speak at the Beckman Institute's virtual Director's Seminar at noon Thursday, Feb. 2. Dr. Assary, group leader of molecular materials in the ANL Materials Science Division, will present “Insights into molecular materials for energy: Let’s start from computing …”

She will discuss ongoing projects, including efforts to identify and grow new materials with rare-earth atoms at stoichiometric concentrations in order to reduce the disorder-induced inhomogeneous broadening and investigating nanophotonic integration of rare-earth doped samples that aims to increase the light-atom interaction in order to make practical quantum devices.
