Dr. Heidi Phillips offers individualized, intensive training including the proper use of an operating microscope, micro-instruments, micro-suture, and live animal models (rats). Course enrollment is limited to 3 learners per course who are closely monitored throughout. Dr. Phillips provides hands-on guidance and skill evaluation.

Calling all pet owners, gardeners, and veterinarians! Learn directly from experts in Toxicology by participating in a guided tour of the Poisonous Plant Garden. Arm yourselves and your pets against potential poisonous plants this summer by learning more about their appearance and toxicity. The Open House will be presented at no cost to the general public.

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, more than 300 veterinary students will host the annual College of Veterinary Medicine Open House. There will be more than 40 exhibits and demos, and lots of animals to see. This event is free and open to the public.

Our annual celebration is the time for college researchers including veterinary students, graduate students, trainees, staff, and faculty members to present their research progress. A keynote speaker from outside of the college, whose work broadly addresses college research efforts, is selected through a process of nominations and voting.
