Enjoy a guided tour, artmaking, and dinner! Activities will highlight "Fragmented Histories: Andean Art Before 1600" and "Stitching Ecologies: The Urbana-Champaign Crochet Coral Reef" exhibitions. Presented in Spanish and English. In conjunction with New American Welcome Center’s Welcoming Week.

Celebrate backyard bugs and bats at the free Central Illinois Bat Festival, featuring expert talks, guided hikes, family activities, vendors, food trucks, a costume contest, and an evening bat acoustic walk with a live ecologcation demonstration.

Join us for the interactive, hands-on science experience that is World of Genomics, featuring multiple stations focused on specific aspects of science!

Hands-on art activities for children ages 3+ and their caregivers! Throughout the galleries, enjoy arts activities, family tours, and demonstrations, celebrating the new exhibitions on display. Kid visitors can complete a scavenger hunt for a prize! This event is free and open to all.

Read understandable research posters from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the Beckman Atrium (winner announced at 4:30 in the atrium). Then, celebrate winners of the Vision and Spirit Award, Staff Spirit and Dedication Award and robotic arm naming contest at 2:30 p.m. in the Beckman Auditorium.
