This talk with Dan Gilbert will trace the journeys of the artists and activists who converged at Memorial Stadium in September 1985 to make the inaugural Farm Aid concert a landmark event in the history of popular music.

SPEAK stands for Song, Poetry, Art, and Knowledge. It is an open-mic public performance space at Krannert Art Museum curated by local artist, Shaya Robinson, featuring guest performers and welcoming all to the mic.

Join us to celebrate Rest Lab 8: Greenspace. You'e invited to enter a playful, restorative greenspace inside the museum. Soft artificial turf covers the gallery floor, inviting visitors to slow down and stretch out. By creating a visual and tactile interruption in typical museum spaces, "Rest Lab 8: Greenspace," provides a calm, grounding atmosphere for people to gather.

This Spurlock Sunday activity will take place at Skeuomorph Press, located within UI’s on-campus Community Fabrication Laboratory. Entrance to Skeuomorph Press and the ‘Fab Lab’ is free to the public.

The Turnaway Play is about what really happens when people are denied access to abortion. Urbana-Champaign Reproductive Justice presents a staged reading of an urgent issue through humor, drama, and audience participation.

Enjoy artmaking, stories, and exploring the galleries! You'll get to make a paper modern house and learn about midcentury design. You’ll get to make your own sculpture inspired by artist Frank Stella and learn about colors, textures, and shapes. For ages 5+.

With over 100 prints on display—including works by Rembrandt, Goya, and Dürer—"Imagination, Faith, and Desire" is extraordinary for the significance of the works and the exceptionally high quality of the impressions, the excellence of which rivals the holdings at many major museums.
