This session will give you the opportunity to meet CEE students with experiences both on and off campus that they have been able to use to their advantage on a résumé. Registration opens one week prior to session. CEE students only.

Recruiters will discuss the things they look for during their brief time with each prospective employee during job fairs. Presentation will be in panel format: representatives from different companies will answer prepared questions, and students will have the opportunity to ask their own. This workshop for women engineering students (by application only) provides seminars focused on preparation for graduate school, writing effective fellowship applications, mentoring, networking, faculty panels, developing leadership skills, and “Pathways to Success” presented by prominent University of Illinois alumni.
Bring your résumé to this review night and find out if it's ready for action. The session will start with a CEE Alumni Association board member giving a presentation about ways to craft a winning résumé and cover letter. Afterwards, you will be able to meet one-on-one with alumni who will look over your résumé. Registration opens one week prior, CEE students only.
CEE alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to come together to network and celebrate at CEE's tailgate! Join us for a great day of tailgating with food, drinks and networking prior to the football game against Penn State in Memorial Stadium. Game tickets will also be available for purchase.
Edward J. Cording will present a geotechnical engineering seminar lecture titled "Observation and Monitoring of Ground Behavior – from the Source to the Structure".
Hosted by the CEE Student Committee, the event will provide an opportunity for current CEE students to have conversations with recruiters and engineering professionals, and includes short information sessions by each company. Approximately 200 students and 15 companies participate each night.
Hosted twice a year in the Newmark Lab Crane Bay, the CEE job fair brings company recruiters, many of them CEE alumni, to campus and offers CEE students the opportunity to find internships and full-time positions. Fairs are held in September and February and last from 9:30am-3:30pm.
