We invite all Grainger Engineering alumni and friends to come back to campus for Grainger Engineering Weekend! Join us in celebrating the truly historic and transformative impact The Grainger Foundation has had on our campus. Weekend events will include a Grainger Celebration Ceremony on Friday, followed by "Grainger Grove" on Saturday.
Celebrate the historic gift that named our college and the connection that started over 100 years ago with William W. Grainger. Hear from members of campus leadership and learn how The Grainger Foundation's $300 million in total support will shape the future of engineering education. A reception will immediately follow on the north patio of Engineering Hall.
We're taking over Grange Grove and turning it into "Grainger Grove" to celebrate the generosity and transformative impact The Grainger Foundation has had on our students and engineering campus.
Campus tour will begin on the 3rd floor of Talbot Laboratory and end at 4:15 p.m. for a group photo of AE alumni at the Alma Mater
Cash bar, meet & greet AE faculty & alumni, dinner, and special program.
A musically choreographed flock of 100 drones will take to the sky on Friday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. just east of the iHotel in Champaign. The special aerial performance is in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Dept. of Aerospace Engineering at the Illinois.
Aerospace RSOs are invited to join the Aerospace Engineering tailgate in an open house style exhibit/demonstration.This will be your opportunity to showcase what your group does to the AE Alumni Board, University Administration, and University donors as well as the general public. Game time is TBA.
