Mia Ives-Rublee, MSW, is a civil rights activist who found her voice through adapted athletics. She will speak about her experiences growing up, getting in to wheelchair track, attending college, and working in advocacy. In a world with so much chaos and noise, it’s hard to find a way to talk about the issues. Ives-Rublee will connect story telling to activism.

Dr. Sheri K. Lewis is a native of Chicago, Illinois. As a recent graduate of UIUC, her dissertation research focused on Black girl identity politics and subjectivities within Melt magazine. Melt magazine is a digital and printed magazine dedicated to Black girls' theories, politics, and aesthetics.

The Asian American Cultural Center partners with University housing in presenting an annual Diwali-themed dinner, which includes traditional South Asian food and desserts, and encourages student groups to perform as well as interact with students about the holiday.

Every Monday, the AACC invites different RSOs and campus partners to host Chai Time. Tea and snacks will be provided by the AACC. The event could be anything the host would like it to be.
