    Description: In this workshop, participants will identify the benefits of using a rubric (with an emphasis placed on analytic rubrics). Participants will then create a rubric that determines "the best type of pizza". Finally, participants will plan how to incorporate rubrics into their teaching.

    This two-part series offers tips on what you can do to increase your confidence as a teacher. Part 2 will focus on public speaking skills such as posture, movement, and responding to students' questions.     The idea of teaching online can seem very daunting. How can we meaningfully transfer our best face-to-face teaching practices to our online instruction? In this workshop, we demystify this process by looking explicitly at the objectives of our teaching strategies and how we can recreate these elements for our students’ online learning experience.
