Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning

The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. We assist faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction.

In addition to the events listed below, we are always available for individual consultations or special activities within a department or college. Most of the workshops count toward CITL certificate program continuing education credit. Please check back often to see what events have been added.

    Participants will receive a clear checklist of how to update copied content in the Compass sites as well as targeted instruction on the process. This is a hands-on session with plenty of time for questions. All sessions will be customized to the participants’ needs and include training on using a simple campus survey.     In this workshop, we will discuss how to mentor your students through group projects as a means to practice teamwork with an eye towards the professional world. Topics include getting buy-in from students, navigating potential pitfalls, and some suggestions for grading policies that encourage open but fair communication between group members and you.
