We're going to look at a set of cross-species parallel tasks where we will ask whether mice, rats, and humans are sensitive to sunk costs (spoiler alert: they are) and what they do to avoid them.  Along the way, I'll talk about ways to measure imagination from neurophysiology, about using computational similarity to do cross-species inferences, and how to use normative, descriptive, and mechanistic models to drive understanding of what drives behavior.
