This training will provide learners with an integrated, holistic, and culturally humble perspective on domestic and family-based violence. Through reflective and interactive activities, this instructor-guided course will highlight multiple perspectives of family violence as we explore the societal and cultural influences that define and maintain undesirable, violent patterns within families and communities. We will highlight the impact micro, mezzo, and macro level decision-making can have on safety within the home for all individuals within a family. Finally, we will discuss moving forward and apply our knowledge to make informed decisions and provide appropriate interventions both at the individual level and the community level.
