This interactive seminar will examine mandatory and discretionary reporting of child abuse and neglect, adult protection, domestic violence, sexual assault, and harm to self or others. We will look at existing laws that may govern the reporting of these topics and compare them to the requirements of ethical practice. We will consider other laws that can assist social workers in offering protection to their clients and/or families, including clear and present danger reporting and firearms restraining orders.
