Illinois is among the 23 out of the 50 United States protect abortion post the overturn of Roe v. Wade, and it is 1 of 10 expanded access states to provide maternal and family services, especially for Medicaid residents. In this event, we invited legal experts, healthcare providers and social service workers to discuss the challenges of providing reproductive healthcare services in the current sociopolitical context, We also discuss resources and tools for social workers and helping professions to best serve vulnerable populations such as low-income, cross-border services, and minoritized populations.
