An opportunity to review the requirements of mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect as well as further discuss the process and further impact on children and families.
Objectives:
• Have an understanding of indicators of abuse/neglect and know how to make a child abuse/neglect report
• Have an understanding of the process of what occurs after the initial call is made and documentation that is needed
• Have a general understanding of the possible impact of having DCFS involvement on a child and family and ways to provide support to those individuals.
