3.0 CEU's for LCSW/LSW and LCPC/LPCFinancial wellness is a goal many of us have, even if it's not a concerted effort we make. We hope that we are able to financially weather any storm that comes our way. Those who experience economic hardships – especially chronic situations – may not have had effective guidance to help them understand the best ways to manage their finances and financial behavior. Clients who are experiencing crises and financial hardship are tasked with managing multiple stressors – which can lead to disengagement in necessary social services to address critical issues. Providing supplemental support to client to help them address financial struggles can mean improved fidelity to treatment plans, goal setting and work, and sustainable efforts. Learning how to support clients in this matter doesn't require you to be a financial coach. Instead, there are resources available for social service providers to walk them through how to address financial topics with clients and free resources that can be given to clients to help them continue efforts after you've met with them. This workshop will provide those steps, as well as strategies on how to begin the conversation.
