1.5 CEU's available for LCSW/LSW/LCPC/LPC in the state of Illinois

COVID-19 has presented us all with an array of challenges and opportunities to creatively problem-solve new ways of thinking and reimagining organizations, programs, and products. The Illinois RapidVent project, organized in mid-March by Grainger College of Engineering faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, quickly pulled together a team of engineers, academics, designers, and medical staff to rapidly prototype and iterate a solution to an anticipated ventilator shortage in the United States and around the world. Social workers sometimes question how they will be perceived by colleagues from other disciplines, and some question the value they will bring to multidisciplinary collaborations. But their skills can be critical to far-reaching collaborative projects. In this webinar, Rachael will talk about how leveraging social workers’ unique professional training and experience adds value and influence in multi-disciplinary, human-centered projects.

Rachael Dietkus is a macro-focused licensed clinical social worker who currently works as the Associate Director of Programs at Siebel Center for Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has over a decade of experience in equity- and human-centered design practice and has served as a social worker within the federal government and higher education. She is a two-time alumna of the University of Illinois, earning her BA in Sociology in 2000 and MSW in 2010.
