Filmed and written by Alena Demyanenko, it is set in 1939 and features a unique blend of romance, folklore, and comedy while following the story of Yaro in the Carpathian Mountains, where he meets the young Ksenia and experiences the rich Hutsul culture. For music lovers, it features performances by the Ukrainian experimental band Dakh Daughters. We welcome everyone to come enjoy this fun film with us, practice Ukrainian language, and experience a unique part of Ukrainian culture.
