- Starting this semester, our longstanding lecture series, Timbuktu Talks, is entering a new phase. In partnership with the Institute for the Study of Islamic Thought in Africa (ISITA) at Northwestern University, the series will now feature monthly online lectures showcasing new research and publications on Islam in Africa. At the same time, we will continue our tradition of hosting two in-person lectures each year on the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus.We hope you will join us both online and in person.
