Abstract: The film takes place in Oak Park, IL at Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF). Black and white students get the same grades up until 8th grade, but once they hit high school, their grades dramatically change, black students perform under average while white students perform above. The question is, why in such a diverse neighborhood is there an achievement gap? We only have one public high school - what is it about OPRF that has such an impact on different students' grades?
